I had heard good things about the Leaf Best of Basketball product just released. Also been impressed lately with Leaf Draft Auto's Hobby.

Opened a box of the Leaf Best of Basketball and got a Dennis Rodman Certified Auto RC and an Artis Gilmore auto. A product that is being advertised with a purchase price of $265+ and you get maybe $40 worth of cards. This should never happen when you have a hand packed product with just two cards at such a price level.

I will never buy a Leaf Product again if this is how they are going to deal with their customers who buy Hobby Products.

Are you kidding me??

One box you opened.

Try opening other companies hand-packed products (like Exquisite, Five Star, NT), the SAME thing can happen.

I wanted to buy a box of Leaf Baseball but just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I like the idea that leaf has but not at those prices.

For what it's worth, Dennis Rodman's autograph is actually decently valuable.

I hear you op, a product that has a pricetag over $250 should produce better than ~$40 of card(s) (considering they specificly purchased and are hand packed) even in it's worst example. You do not need me or anyone to justify your displeasure. This is not 'any other' product, this is repackaged stuff in a strict grab bag style with pure value driving the product, or rather the hope to hit a big one. Even though this is the norm for this type of repackaged grab bag type product, and you should know better to think it's anything but an expensive gamble, it still is what it is... A kick in the junk. One pack, 12 boxes, whats the difference. You bought a product, most likely not understanding the nature, and came up short like most. I feel your pain here but do not blow it out of proportion. LEAF makes not mistakes making it known what they are selling, virtually every 'best of' product prior is exact. 80% = 20%ROI, 10% = 50%ROI, 8% = 100%ROI, and 2% = profit. You are just one of the 80%...

(just my lose estimates not to be taken as fact but I bet pretty damn close)

I can understand that it's a gamble of sorts. But heck to put a less than $5 auto in is just plain ridiculous. I didn't even get 20% return investment on this. I don't have a problem with the new stuff because stuff fluctuates. But the prices of this ain't going anywhere.

I'm not buying a $1 ticket trying to win Millions jabroney. I spent $250 on a box of hot garbage. I'm a collector and wanted to get something really nice. Not junk.

I understand there is some risk involved. I am on EBAY all the time. I don't expect 100% return. However, when the cards are hand-packed you gotta do better than this. It's not like they are producing the buy-back graded auto. . . .
