Ivan DeJesus Jr. suffered a broken left tibia playing in a 'B' game Monday morning and could miss the season.
DeJesus was hurt on a play at home plate. According to the Daily News, it "looked like he got caught between sliding and barreling into the catcher, couldn't make up his mind." DeJesus was slated to be the shortstop at Albuquerque this season. While this is a substantial loss, it will make the Triple-A infield situation a lot easier to manage. Now the Dodgers can play Chin-Lung Hu at short there and probably alternate Blake DeWitt and Tony Abreu back and forth between second and third.
