set builders do you make checklists and print them/

do any of you old school guys who build sets make a whole checklist on your computer and print them out? im trying to make some for topps heritage, i cant really find anything online where you print a checklist out that looks sweet.

I typically copy and paste a checklist from cardboard connection but I leave it n a word file and just delete them as I get them. I will print a list of sps if I'm going to a show though

I print them from www.tradingcarddb.com and instead of printing the .pdf I print the html version as the writing is larger (<---old man) plus it has a check box.

Yeah I definitely make them. Everything get pasted into an Excel workbook.

Just get them from cardboard connection. I only print variation lists with actual pictures on it since some of these are hard to spot.

Yeah sometimes variations are hard to spot. Cardboard connection is awesome with their galleries

I make them for sets. I used to print them and take them to card shows, now I mostly just pull them up on my phone or tablet at a show. But sometimes for big sets (like the 1972 Topps set I've been working on forever) it's nice to have a printout to quickly see what I need.

I organized it into columns of 100 cards, with a checkbox to mark the ones I have, and then added red color for ones that are slabbed (so I know the empty spot in the binder is actually owned), and yellow highlight for the ones I don't have (so I can find them faster on the list).

I something similar to gracecollector. It is nice having a spreadsheet as it makes it way easier to track. Once I get close to the end I end up making another excel sheet with just the ones I still need

I have a set building .doc file with numbers listed 1 to 900 or so. When I am ready to start cataloging the cards, I edit the template file to go 1 to (number of cards in set) and print it. I will place a ink pen red dot next to the card number on known variation sets (such as flagship topps) to let me know when I get ready to mark off the card, I need to see if it is a normal card or a rarer variation card. I cross out the number with sharpie when I catalog the number as "have". When I'm done with all boxes of cards, I yellow highlight the cards I need to complete the set and check out sportlots first to work on obtaining what I need.

The only time I've printed a checklist with names and not just use card numbers was 2013 chipz where there are no card numbers on the chips.

I make my checklist similar to what grace collector has and I usually copy and paste from cardboard connection or trading card db as the others have said. For some reason I always print it up and cross off each card by hand instead of keeping track of it on my computer, for some reason I really enjoy crossing off those cards one by one.

Old ? Hey ! I resemble that remark. I'm very old school compared to some of the people that have posted in this topic. Good stuff too. I use Tripod webbuilder. I started with it a long time ago and just kept with it. Too old to change my ways I guess.
