Reminds me of another story of a lot of money robbed when an old woman whose husband recently died went to a mortuary. She left her purse and $4,500 dollars for his funeral expenses in the car when she went inside the mortuary to say goodbye to him. When she was done, she found her car was broken into and the money/purse gone. I don't know why 1) she didn't take her purse with her inside because of how many valuables were in it, and 2) why she didn't write a check or use a credit card for paying funeral expenses and let the bank safeguard the cash until the transfer of funds via check or when she pays her credit card bill.
