Is an SGC 40/3 almost certainly equal to a PSA 3?

Would there be a chance it could get a PSA 4? Or even a 2?

I'm not very big on grading, but I have the 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle SGC 40 and was offered $1450 for it but he said if it were a PSA 3, he would pay the 1600.00.

Thanks for any help,

Rob

By most accounts SGC grades slightly harder than PSA. I wouldn't take less than $1600 for it.

id keep it as is. High $ vintage of that caliber is SO scary in a psa slab, imo

Have to agree. It is not worth the risk of nabbing a lower grade for 150.00.
