I am really torn... I love Shaq. The guy is a flat out entertainer. I love TNT basketball. I can't tell you how many times I laughed until I cried.

Put them together, and I just don't know. I hope Charles and Shaq don't try to one up each other every second of every show. The nice thing about Charles and Kenny is they both could "give and receive" jokes... sometimes I feel Shaq always has to get the last word in, which would get annoying.

On the flip side, it could be the best few hours on tv (with a little basketball mixed in!)

I really like Shaq, but I'm not sure if he'll have the right chemistry with Barkley. Shaq is pretty entertaining, but that doesn't always translate into being a good analyst. Sure the guy was one of the greatest of my lifetime, but that also doesn't qualify him to be an analyst. I'm amxious to see if he has the necessary skills to do the job, and isn't a classic case of hiring a former athlete just because they're a former athlete.

I hope Shaq still does his Shaq Vs. show. It was very entertaining, even though he lost every event, with the exception of a game of air hockey against one of the Williams sisters  . I would protest that he beat Manny Pacquiao by decision, but they wouldn't admit it.

I liked that's show, too. I think he did that to get into shape for one more try when he joined Boston. As a ex-player/current analyst, I doubt he'll ever put his body through that again!

Did any of you guys watch NBA TV near the end of the lockout? They had Charles, Webber, Reggie, Shaq and a couple other people just discussing the lockout. I think Shaq did a good job, and there wasn't any strange dynamic of trying to steal the show from Shaq or Barkley. I think what Shaq does is because he wants the attention, but Charles is just legitimately a little crazy.

I missed that...it sounds like it could work then! Thanks for the info. I can't wait!

I think what NEEDS to happen is Chris Webber needs to be on as MANY shows as possible.

He truly showed his knowledge of the game, got a few laughs and showed how smart a guy he really is (many people labeled him an idiot as a player and most doubted he would be a great analyst).

As a huge fan of his NBA game (that never lived up to his hype, sadly), I would love for Webber to land in a spot to be one of the more vocal guys and in the forefront of the scene.

Webber, Barkley, Shaq would be a great team and to put them in the TNT studio and make it a 5 man panel (kind of like Fox does with their football shows) would be fantastic in my mind.
