I don't know that Myers will definitely be a star, but I think they'll regret trading him for Shields. I don't think he has much left in him, at least to fulfill the price they are paying.

Royals To Acquire James Shields, Wade Davis

The Royals have bolstered their starting rotation for 2013 thanks to the addition of two quality pitchers. Kansas City has agreed to acquire James Shields and Wade Davis from Tampa Bay in exchange for Wil Myers and a series of prospects, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times (via Twitter). Wow I definitely did not see this deal coming.

Depending on the prospects the Rays are getting besides Myers, I would say that the Royals really made out on this one.

Unless Myers turn into a huge star then I think the Rays will regret this one unless they get someone else decent from KC.

Wow ok then that's more of a fair deal since odorizzi is going. KC giving up best prospects for a good pitcher in shields and a mediocre one in Davis. I don't really get it but oh well. Glad I'm not a Royals fan
