I deal with Hickory Crawdads - low A league - Rangers . The USA players went home , others are facing hard times . Here they will put 4 or 5 to an apartment . We have a group that gives players snack bags for road trips -- some trips are EIGHT hours one way . Many haven't been home in several years and parents can't afford to come here . There are some great kids trying to make it . We even have a translator teaching them English .

Whoa. That is incredible. I'm gonna look for on-card autos from him and see if I can snag one on the cheap. A guy like that has a place in my collection for sure.

My wife's, cousin's, son was in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system a few years ago. I'm pretty sure he got as far as AAA. His name is Kevin Nolan.
