I would advise against it.
I ship internationally. I have shipped over 300 packages in 2008 and 2009 to about 20 countries...UK, Australia, Spain, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Canada, Hungary, other places as well.
I just lost a Paypal claim for shipping about $20 in cards to Venezuela. The buyer does buy often from the US and at least one other seller posted in this buyer's feedback that he lost a claim to this buyer as well, from the buyer claiming non-receipt.
The hard part is that I can't say for sure if it's just an unethical buyer, or if the situation in the country is such that several packages are being stolen by customs officials, post office workers, or others. Either way, I will continue to ship internationally, but not to Venezuela.
I know the risks of international shipping, and will continue to do so since it's been profitable. Just a general notice.
