It's a shot in the dark, but I'm hoping that someone on here is from the Erie, PA area...I have the good fortune to be going there for the next couple of days. I saw there seems to be a whole lotta hobby shops, but I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations.

Again, shot in the dark, but I'm hoping someone will save the day :D

Dave's Sports Cards on Peach Street is a no-no for me. I caught him and another customer searching packs while I was there. I had three boxes of cards on the counter and when I saw what was happening I called him a pack searcher and walked out and left the boxes on the counter. I have not returned in two years.

I used to drop many, many dollars there on unopened boxes and do not think they were searched. You pay top dollar for everything.

Buyer beware.

I know of no other good shop in the city. If you find a decent one let me know.

Bob's Sports and Speed shop is no longer open. He has moved to Florida.

Thanks, that's exactly the type of info I was looking for. Unfortunately, the only other input I've received (from someone on another forum) is in favor of Dave's Sports Cards. But after your experience (and google's review saying that they trim), I'll stay away.

There seem to be a whole lot of shops listed on google, so I'm still unsure where to go.

If you have the time, drive to Amherst near Buffalo and go to D & A's.

Man, I'd love to go to DA, but unfortunately I'm only there for like a day and a half. Staying near the Millcreek Mall..trying to stay local. Have you tried any other stores besides Dave's?
