I went to the PO to mail 2 bubble mailers and the guy who I have seen before asked the standard "Anything fragile, ect ect" and I said fragile and he replied with "There just cards, right?" and I kind of paused...and said yeah

Any chance the cards wont make it to the destination?

I wouldn't worry. Hard to imagine you're the only one shipping cards through your PO.

He'd have to be pretty dumb to steal stuff after saying that to you haha. I wouldn't worry about it, just being friendly I think.

I've been asked that a time or two. I tell them they're old photographs. That conveys that I don't want them bent, and implies they are basically worthless to potential thieves.

My PO knows i get cards all the time. Every single time i send and i tell them how much i need to insure for, the same old lady says the same line...

"Wow, good thing do come in small packages"

If the paranoia from this board about postal workers being thieves was even 1% accurate, virtually nothing would ever reach its intended destination.

There is always a chance that your package will not reach its intended destination.

I'm less worried about postal workers being thieves than I am them being incompetent. Back when I was in college, I worked for a summer at the main RI plant, running the sorting machines. A guy I worked with used to smoke ***** in his car on his lunch breaks, then head right back into work. Several of the union employees would get upset if us part-timers ran too much mail; the quicker it all got done, the less chance there was for overtime. I know I fell asleep at the machines a few times!
