Should I get replacements for my Wilmer Flores BC Autos...

Well, we're now in May and there's no reason for me to think I'm going to see the $3K+ worth of Wilmer Flores cards I bought.

The problem is that he is not hitting well right now. That combined with Topps inability to get his signatures likely has these cards headed down.

I they will send replacements based on book value, even now. Should I go ahead and pull the trigger for replacements? Or can I expect to get 200 Brad Furnish BC Autos?

I wouldn't. Most likely you will get worthless replacements, so why not just try to hold out. Topps eventually got Detwiler and Frazier, albeit a year later.

DLP couldn tget him to sign yet either. he has no autos out there yet.

DLP couldn tget him to sign yet either. he has no autos out there yet.

The 18 in August thing is the main reason why I bought him. It will be a while before people write him off. My worst fear is that these drop significantly in value, he doesn't sign, and I get stuck with Brad Furnish autographs.

The current value and what you paid means nothing to topps. You will probably get the same replacement today as you will if he continues to not hit

If it means anything, I've redeemed a few hundred bucks of his redemptions and will definitely be holding out on them rather than taking a chance with a Topps replacement.

i mean, technically, these ain't like upper deck where you scratch and sniff. the redemption numbers are in full view anyways. lol!

Truth be told, I wish I could do the same. I REALLY want the Flores cards, but I think if it's still gonna be months and months before we even know whether or not he's signing, I would rather be able to sell them for now and maybe buy again when we know what is going on with them.

For some reason i think i remember reading on here that you could have topps transfer the redemption into another account, meaning you could sell it and then both parties let Topps know. I could and probably am completely wrong though

I am thinking about asking for replacements for my Flores base and Inoa refractor. I have less than $30 into both of them and I hate waiting.

He is soon to be 18.... so odds are you will be waiting for 5 years for him to make an impact.
