OK, on the heals of the PSA patch man, here are a few Manny patch cards that are interesting. They both feature a commemorative 100 year 1901-2001 patch, which I have been unable to find any proof that the Red Sox actually wore in games in 2001- any help there guys?

The 2005 Prime Patches one on the top I own. Bought it a while back. Edges of the patch window are good, but given the numbering 95/107, is dubious in it's authenticity (if you think it's real then make me an offer!). However, the patch appears to be of greater quality than one that just came up on ebay- which will be the Sterling jumbo auto/on the bottom. Auction link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-Sterling-M...ZViewItemQQptZUS_Baseball?hash=item2eaae73d58 Seller has perfect feedback and not really any other gaudy patches.

Both patches look to be of better quality than the regular available commemorative iron-ons, which look like this:

But the two patches on these two cards look like they are of a different quality to me when looking at the 100 and the heal of the bottom sock.. I also recall the same exact patch featured in 2 or 3 red Sox cards in the recent completely PSA graded "Best collection ever" that were Schilling, Pedro martinez, and one other jumbo patch card.

ANy thoughts are appreciated. I'm not going after the Sterling jumbo, but I have a few other collectors that I will probably try to give a heads up to if other FCB members are thinking what I am thinking on this one.

All 3 of those are clearly fake. The first Manny even says jersey!

The prime patches one is clearly fake. It says authentic jersey only, I don't believe there were jumbo patches for that subset of prime patches(they were all just regular jersey cards). At the very least it should say jersey-prime on the bottom of the card. I remember seeing a fake Manny Jumbo like that in a card shop with a flag patch that the owner was trying to sell. I don't think he even knew it was fake. Neither are real.
