Good customer service representation of bad customer service. Sounds like you're happy about losing the battle and the war because the opposition was polite.

Agreed. Misrepresented the card and failed to offer compensation when Topps showed a lack of effort. But collectors have proven inelastic to problems with quality control in the past, so why would Topps have any incentive to do better?

Remember, it's always about the bottom line.
