Show off your 5 Favorite Prospect Cards

[All The Hype]

Just lookin through my bucket while re-organizing it, I decided to pick 5 of my favorite prospect cards. I originally obtained these looking to flip, but these five especially will be very difficult for me to move even if I have the chance to turn a big profit.


#5- Zach Collier Gold Refractor Auto- Breaking a case of draft and was doing okay, but this was the turning point of the case. I jumped up and down when I pulled it. One of the few that I have seen that look to be anywhere near centered. Currently at BGS.

#4- Jarrod Parker EEE Auto /50- Big fan of Parker, and felt like I got a pretty good deal on this one. Nice change of pace from the chrome stuff too.

#3- Wes Hodges Gold Refractor Auto- I got on the Hodges boat early, buying and trading for about 10 total base, refractor, and xfractor autos..and I ended up finally going big when two gold refs showed up on eBay at the same time. A very good looking card.

#2- Rick Porcello Base Refractor- The beginning of a new player collection. It's always sweeter when you pull a PC card yourself.

#1- Ryan Strieby Orange Refractor- As I posted in a thread yesterday, I am a huge believer in Strieby, and this is the best card I have of him in my stash. I love Orange Refractors of Tigers.

I tend to stick to blue refractor level, and medium price points.

1. Freddie Freeman Superfractor

2. Jason Heyward sterling refractor 1/199 bgs 9.5

3. Tommy Hanson blue refractor BGS 9.5

4. Jon Gilmore blue refractor BGS 9.5

The rest I have no special attachment to, and cards that are not these 4 are all gone when the time is right.

1. Heyward Red Refractor BGS 9.5. My favorite prospect and his second best card behind the super.

2. Greg Halman Red Refractor. My second favorite prospect, and first real player collection.

3. Kyle Weiland 1/1 DEE auto. My newest player collection. Love the potential.

4. Reid Engel 05 Superfractor. Being a Sox fan, just wanted one super.

5. Adrian Cardenas Sterling BGS 10 auto. My only 10 I graded by myself.

#5- Evan Longoria 06 BDP Auto- Not really a prospect anymore..but was a Christmas gift couple years ago and final part to my 06 bdp complete set!

#4- Michael Taylor 07 BDP Blue Ref /199- Just looks great! Love them blues...

#3-Dominic Brown 08 BC Yellow 1/1 Plate- My only bowman 1/1, also an error..back of the card is upside down!

#2 -Travis D'Arnaud BDP Orange Ref Auto /25- Got it in a trade from tommy, week later joined a group break for 07 bdp case and got another one!!

#1 - Joe Savery BDP Orange Ref /25 RCR 9.5- Favorite card in my Savery PC and can't wait till it gets slabbed!

VERY NICE stuff from all of you that have listed above! I wanted to make a comment to Bikerider.... If you're not much into the prospect's, with card's like those, I'd LOVE to see the player's cards that you are into!!!!! :shock:

The first big news story my site got to break was that Posey was going to be in Bowman Chrome.

The only reason these are my current favorites is because these prospects didn't have an autographed Bowman Chrome version. I had a tie between the Bowden and Conger so I posted them both. Enjoy!

#5 no real reason here. I think this kid could actually be decent if he learns the strikezone.

#4 Very underrated in my book. He will be the mets future 1st baseman and at the price this is a great card.

#3 Again underrated. This card should be $50 dollars more then the most recent sales. love his ceiling and think he will make the bigs and be above average

#2 im one of the few who think he is better then moustakas and im a big fan of moose. these should not be $90
