I probably acquired a significantly lower number of baseball cards in 2011 than in any year since I returned to the hobby in 1991. But I did get a few gems for my player collections. This is at the top of the list (also by far my most expensive card of the year and in my Sizemore collection, I think the second most expensive card I've ever bought):
