Most of this stuff is going to be hitting CR in the next couple days. Some members have already started picking off certain cards.

Any update on auctions on CR?

We're trying to work out the payment process. The way we have it structured, all items will be listed by a CR admin and will work like an auction house. We do want to eventually allow users to run their own auctions but that brings up a whole new set of challenges.

I don't collect inserts, but seeing your first few scans makes me want to. The Piazza card with the close-up of his eyes is a sweet card. What set is that from? How much does a card like that cost at a show? I'm also wondering how much you paid for the Piazza Elite Series and the Helton Elite /17? They seem like random players and sets, but they look neat.

Nice pick-ups Jeff! I like the Mansfield show myself, however I always stay away from Binder Bob! He has tons of stuff but won't budge on any prices! Which are already overpriced! BTW Jeff I would like to get the Chipper Jones insert card from you for my PC if its available. Thanks!

How much does a card like that cost at a show? I'm also wondering how much you paid for the Piazza Elite Series and the Helton Elite /17? They seem like random players and sets, but they look neat.

The Piazza is from 1996 Score. To be honest, I wasn't really a 90's insert collector 6 months ago, but after seeing some of the threads on this board, I got back into it. Some of the nicest looking cards ever were made in the late 90's.

Prices on this kind of stuff can be all over the place. Some of the bigger name players can sell for a ton. The guy I picked these up from has monster boxes full of this stuff marked at anywhere from 5 cents a card to $3 a card. I ended up buying about 200 cards from him for $85. The Helton and Piazza came out of a box marked 3/$1

Yup, and passed those savings on to a Todd Helton collector here on these boards.
