Swap Jared Mitchell & Brent Morel's rankings & this would be a pretty correct list IMO. :D

Brent Morel has been surging up prospect evaluation lists lately. I look for him to make a BIG BA rankings jump.

The problem with Morel is that he's blocked with Teahen in the majors and Dayan in the minors (if he can ever get things sorted out)...not sure where else he can play...

Dayan will probably transition to first. Morel is a spectacular defensive third baseman, Dayan is well below average.

Jordan Danks belongs in the top 5, but probably more near the "B" range...if a letter grade is a good way to measure something anyway.

sickles says that the letter grade is more important than the ranking

I'm going to go way out....I mean way out there and say if Danks can get the AB's, he will produce better than Beckham this year. However, I don't think he will get the opportunity.

Which makes sense. I'm saying letter grade is not the way to go to measure baseball talent. What's a B pitcher versus a B outfielder? It says nothing.

Danks is hitting .343 in the AFL but could use some more pop (3HR). I assume the power department is where Sickels "bat could come around" comment came from.

I saw a ton of Danks in Birmingham

he was easily the most talented offensive player on that team after the mid season promotions.

If his minor league talents translate to the major league game, he is Johnny Damon re done, and this time with a much better arm.
