Sidney Crosby to sign new deal with Reebok

Sidney Crosby is expected to sign a new deal with Reebok in the next few days. the deal which is believed to be for 5-7 years and worth $1.4 million per year and will total $10 million. Crosby will continue to use Reebok hockey equipment and promote the equipment but will also be used in other Reebok advertisements for other products just like his recent appearance in commercials for the new Reebok Zig Tech shoe. when signed the deal will be the richest endorsement deal in NHL history. Sid also has endorsement deals with Bell, Tim Horton's and Gatorade and these deals earn him more money every year than the NHL average salary of $2.1 million.

Crosby is without a doubt the face of the NHL and a great role model for kids. Sid has already won an NHL MVP Award, a scoring title, the Stanley Cup and the Olympic Gold Medal at the age of 22.

Those are some nice dollar figures but he is like Kobe to the NBA or say Payton to the NFL. I was shocked to see the dollar amount that low actually.
