Simple question ablout MLB network

I'm one of those guys who don't get to watch TV normally during the day because work gets in the way. Today I stayed home with my sick daughter and started watching a Cubs/Pirates game from 1991. Mike Harkey started the game and was perfect through 4 so I thought maybe they were showing an old no-hitter or something. Now the game is in the 8th and the Cubs are winning 4-2. Nothing special has happened. Does the MLB Network just show random games with no historical significance all the time during the day?

I think this is why they are showing the game. Just wait until it gets to extra innings...
