Received 13 more 09 BC Starlin Castro's in the mail for the Player Collection. I have 24 now and I hope he gets a September call up with the Cubbies.

Nice cards. Do you think there's a chance they will actually sell for more with a September call-up than they do now? Looking at listings it looks like they are getting as much as Heyward's Chrome RC, and it's hard to imagine they could go much higher. What are you projecting prices on these by then that you plan on holding?

Assuming he doesn't have more cards issued by Topps in the meantime.

I am keeping them all for the PC, but if I was selling I'd probably sell now. Although, you never know with Cubs fans and they could go higher when/if he gets called up because more people will be on the bandwagon. The casual Cubs fan probably doesn't care for a 19 year old prospect, but they will care for the Cubs starting shortstop (hopefully he makes it that far and rips up AAA). I agree it's hard to imagine them going for more, but you never know. Again, all my Starlin's are PC, so price doesn't really matter to me. I just want him to suceed unlike previous Cubs prospects.

Got it. I read too quickly and did not notice the words "player collection" and immediately assumed it was prospecting.

It would be nice if a Chicago prospect panned out. It's been a long long time.
