With the Knicks getting crushed again tonite (by the trade-depleted Bobcats), I had to wonder if the trade threw them off. They're 7-11 since getting 'Melo and Billups. 1-8 in the last nine. And have lost 5 in a row.

Meanwhile the Nuggets have gone 12-5 since then, are 1st in the league in scoring with Lawson emerging and Danilo playing very well. For what it's worth, they are also CRUSHING Eastern Conference teams.

I don't watch the games in full very much, especially in March, but you gotta wonder...

Melo was not a great fit for Denver.... they're a much better/balanced team now, and they're having fun. The same thing probably would've happened in ATL if they'd let Joe Johnson go.
