the "pecking order" was really pretty loosely defined.

I picked an order that I knew would be pretty easy, in this case jcaunda's order

I went to the slabs and i pulled his cards out.

Sometimes I would see a card while i was sorting and know who the card belonged to. I would then put that card aside as that persons.

After I finished jcunda's order I then moved on to the next big ish blog entry I could find. It is beneficial to sort the big orders first, because then you eliminate the stack of cards you have to go through to pull an order.

I have already taken steps to make this go a bit faster now that I know what I am up against. An area of my office at home has been converted into a sorting table.

Chris is there a way that we can establish a pecking order such as the one I desribed so we all can know a reasonable amount of time to expect our cards will be returned to us? something like this will also help you so you know how much time you have to ship cards and not be bothered with pm's and emails asking where our cards are at. This way large orders will be out of your way right away and you will only be left with smaller orders as the days tick away. Once you sort the cards this type of schedule should be somewhat easy to stick to and a simple email to the submitter can be sent if delivery times are more than expected. (again, my delivery dates are only suggestions, dates can be adjusted).

i dont know that a pecking order is nessessary

now that we are doing this every month, there will be much less to sort and keep organized at one time.

Ok that is fair enough. I assume the orders should be considerable less per month and not a gigantic load of cards you received for this submission

but you still said that it isnt feasible that all cards ship the same time "that aint gonna happen"....

so it appears clear, that you will continue to ship some orders right away, and others can wait... that is what I was referring to as "pecking order"...something should be defined...you also stated you don't want orders of just a couple cards. is your definition just 2? do you want orders of only 3 cards, or do you want to make it higher? And if someone just has 3 cards, what is a reasonable "expectation" of when they will ship in comparison to bigger orders? one day, 2 days, 1 week, 2 weeks?
or is it just going to remain, whenever you get around to it, because this is a free service as you have suggested.

sorry, to ask, but i am sure others want to know too.

In my case i probably will just have 5 or 6 per month, but if I think i have to wait 2 weeks longer than bigger orders, I won't bother, even if they are for PC. Would you suggest that if someone has less than 10 cards, and doesn't want to wait 1 week longer than everyone else, that we not submit? No hard feelings, and again, I understand..its a lot of work. I just want to know, as I am sure others do as well...what our expectations should be.
