Andy Dalton- The Bengals upgraded their offensive line, so I believe that he will perform better than last season. Add in that he will have a healthy Jordan Shipley back, as well as other weapons, and I think he exceeds expectations again.

Mohamed Sanu- At some point in time, he will become the Bengals #2 receiver. He'll be similar to TJ Houshmandzadeh except he's bigger and faster. He has excellent hands, runs good routes, and will help draw some coverage away from AJ Green.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis- He is going to be the #1 in Cincinnati. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers he puts up because of an increased workload for the Bengals.

Geno Atkins- The guy is a beast. I think he will do even better than the 8 sacks he had last season. With the DB depth that Cincinnati has, it should give him a couple of extra coverage sacks.

I have seen a few posts now with Green-Ellis as a possible sleeper. It never crossed my mind really because I have not seen anything from him that really impressed me but its definitely worth keeping an eye on. The question is, will he be able to match or do better than cedric benson a few years ago?

I think he will. The Bengals definitely upgraded at the Guard positions this year. Having Travelle Wharton starting at LG and Kevin Zeitler penciled in to start at RG, that will help give them the interior line push that they didn't have last season.

Benson still performed well in rushing yards, but BJGE finds the end zone and has not fumbled in his 4 NFL seasons.

The other thing is that the Law Firm will be given more of an opportunity to catch passes out of the backfield. In NE, there were too many other options, but in Cincinnati, I have a feeling that there will be specific plays designed for him to be catching passes.

All in all, I expect 1,200+ rushing yards, 10+ rushing TDs, and 300-400 receiving yards.

Those are some nice numbers if they can be met. I agree with your synopsis and will be anxious to see how he does. I will keep this post in mind and give you props if he pulls through!

No problem. I am also more than willing to eat my humble crow if he doesn't get near that.

Obviously, health is the only concern. If he stays healthy, I really believe he will have a big season.

Good point. I will root for him this year and consider him in my fantasy draft :). But if he goes down, I blame you! Just Kidding!

I like Ponder and Green-Ellis this year too. They may be a stretch but they have the players around them to succeed.

I have a question for the board: What do people think about Delone Carter as a possible deep sleeper? I saw bursts of potential last year and with Donald Brown as really the only competition I think he could either make a push for the gig, or get placed in if Brown injures himself. Analysts are also saying that Carter fits the teams new scheme better than Brown. Thoughts?

what little I watched of Delone last year really left a bad taste in my mouth... i noticed the same thing you did, a big opportunity for him to run with that... and i know he was a rookie, and what i saw was limited, but damn.

also, Greg Little is a name that i think will get big next year.

I could see Greg Little having a great year. Similar to AJ Green last year now that he has some decent talent throwing to him. I thought he was going to do well last year but it didnt turn out that way. He will be one to watch!

Greg Little should be the Browns #1 guy, but isn't that like being the best kid on the JV team when you know everyone on varsity can kick your ass? I'm not sold on Weeden helping Little elevate his game to really be a "breakout" player.

I think Delone Carter is good. He should get more carries this year. I think a healthy Donald Brown could produce, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Carter pass him on the depth chart.

Green-Ellis and Bernard Scott both said today that they believe it will be a RB by committee this coming season. Think this will be the case?

I like DHB (was Palmer's favorite target last year, and finally had a good year), Delone Carter, and Cecil Shorts.

Carter has an opportunity, and if he has solid games it will be known because of the coverage of Luck

Shorts is being raved about in OTA's, and for under $4 for his NT auto, little risk there. He can be the slot receiver if he beats out Thomas, which is likely, and should be a solid target for Gabbert with Blackmon and LR81

Denarious Moore, Darrius Heyward-Bey and if he can stay healthy Darren McFadden. With Carson Palmer having the off-season and a FULL training camp and pre-season to get into form, he and the Raiders offense are gonna be EXPLOSIVE this year. Watch McFadden be in the top 3 for Rushing this year, if healthy of course, lol.

I could see McFadden having an explosive year! He was well on his way last year until the injury but definitely has the skill to be leading rusher. Would be great!

I'm not sure what to think of Shorts as he was getting rave reviews at this time last year as well. The Jaguars are probably going to keep Thomas because they have a lot invested into him. Plus, the Jaguars also signed Lee Evans so depending on what he has left in the tank Shorts could be fighting with him for the 4th receiver role.

One question mark I also have is Daniel Thomas. He showed a lot of skill early last season before the injuries started taking place. He does lack a few things though but I dont think Bush is all that durable either. I wonder if he will get his shot this year if Bush goes down
