**Also, I grew up where he was living (Fife, WA) and mentioned that in my note to him. He responded back with "Small World, Small Town" and actually included his updated address (Beaverton, OR) and asked if there was "anyway to change address in the book." Very cool to see someone openly looking to update their address for auto requesters!

Just noticed today that I'm just past the 50% mark for returns for all my Mariners TTM's I've sent:

108 sent
50 success
5 failures

The five failures include: Dan Meyer (who I picked up his '77T off ebay), Jamie Nelson (RTS), Ken Clay (RTS), Bud Bulling (RTS), Bob Stinson (now charges $5 per auto). I'll eventually send to Stinson again at some point. Thankfully he only has one M's card, so it'll only cost me $5.

I was out of town over the weekend and came home to quite a few TTM returns. For the Mariners sets I received:

Pete Broberg (77), Dave Johnson (77), Rick Honeycutt (79, 80, 81), John Moses (84, 87, 88), Ron Roenicke (84, 87F, IC), Dave Beard (84, 85), Gary Matthews (88, 88S), Bruce Fields (89, 89S 100)

The Johnson return also came with a note from him, mentioning a little known fact that he was the first Seattle Mariner:

Your thread has encouraged me to continue to do the same with old California Angels autographs. I am up to about 200 different Angels, but haven't sent any requests out in about a year.

Will post in the monthly pickup thread if I have success!

Yeah I think having a goal really made it more exciting. I'm enjoying doing this with the M's.

I'd love see some of your Angels returns ... and if you ever get a Langston return, let me know!! One of the top former M's I'd love to have an auto of.
