Smokey the Bear team sets

Why are the Smokey the Bear fire prevention team sets from the 1980's that hard to find? I have been looking for the 1988 Phoenix Cardinals set (Novacek) for ten years now and have never seen it?

Anybody else have one of these on their want lists?

Not sure if these are what you mean, I got these three from a guy in my old team collector group. I have yet to find any more...

They're probably hard to find because they went to kids in elementary school, and not as many survived. If I had a nickle for every freakin special card I got as a kid...especially the baseball ones from little league and the Steelers Giant Eagle cards...

Another hard one to find are college sets. I've been looking for some of the Miami Hurricanes releases off and on and never find them. I haven't constantly searched because I only do it when I know I can pick it up, because if I didn't have the funds, I know I'd find them and be pissed.

I had a TON of them when I was a kid. The university gave them out to kids during fire prevention week. I'm not sure how many have survived...

Haha, I was thinking it was you but wasn't sure. Those are probably my favorite cards I got in our old group.
