Travis Snider is headed to Vegas to get some playing time after playing sporadically over the last month. Hopefully he can work on his swing and tear up AAA.

Jays badly mismanaged this one, much like the Indians are doing with Laporta. It makes no sense to bring up a guy to play him once every 3-5 days. Kid had no chance. Either leave him at AAA to keep gaining confidence or bring it up to play (nearly) everyday.

Sitting out against all the lefties didn't make much sense to me either. Let him take his lumps and try to make some adjustments. He'll be back.... :D

How about batting him 7th instead of 9th, it would help his production and confidence big time.

I totally Agree!! How the Hell is he going to learn hitting the lefties, if you set him out every freakin time.

I wish he was on another team. Everything they are doing with him is wrong IMO.

Very glad that I sold the Snider Bowman Sterling RC Black Refractor Auto when he was promoted...

No offense to the Canadians - the Blue Jays' management does not know a thing about promoting. All it takes is patience! Maybe the Blue Jays should follow the Rays' management on prospects. I know the Orioles are...

Oh Canada......
Yeah I can also say I am not pleased with the way they handle their prospects.... But it looks like they did the right thing with Lind, he looks like a total different player then he did in his first few years.

But yeah from the very start I seen alot of holes in Snider's swing and I knew he needed AAA ball..... Like another poster said hopefully he tears up AAA ball and get's another shot in August/September.

Shep :ugeek:

I am not sure I agree. They gave him an initial chance and he ran with it. But, like a lot of young sluggers, he couldn't sustain it.

Why does everything have to be so extreme? They tried and it didn't work. They are still a good team in a competitive division without him and he'll be back.

And yes, the kid did have a chance.

Regardless of whether or not he is the future of the Blue Jays, their number 1 goal is to win baseball games. They are doing so without him, so why not send him down so he can play everyday? If it were me, I'd much rather play every day in AAA, knowing I'll be back in the majors for good pretty soon, than sit on the bench every day in the majors. Gotta keep that eye sharp at the plate, and it's hard to do that sitting on the bench.
