As a seller, I'm a pretty good ebayer. But I've come to realization that as a buyer, I straight up suck. I find stuff I want to bid on, then forget to bid on it. I leave my self reminders, set alarms, calender notification. Nothing works and miss out on a ton of opportunities to get cards I really want, sometimes for really good prices.

So I think I'm finally ready to delve into the world of sniping programs. I would prefer a free one that works pretty well. I just figured the folks here could help me with my options.

Thanks in advance!

I know folks love gixen, and I like it well myself. I've converted to biddingscheduler.com though because, while being free, it also emails you to inform you if the minimum bid has surpassed your snipe. It's saved me multiple times.

Very true. The free option works as well, and that one is limited to 10 snipes at any given time.

I have had NO problems with goofbay's free snipe. It e-mails you as well if you are outbid before your snipe is bid.

It would drive me nuts sifting through another 8-12 emails a day from them, ebay is bad enough.

I use the $6 Gixen option. It fires two snipes for you instead of one. So if one doesn't go through for whatever reason you have a backup snipe also.

Glixen.

I don't use it much, but it's always been no problemo.

And if it's free, it's for me!

Thanks for everyone who has replied! I have decided to give gixen a try. One more question. When does it place your bid? With how much time remaining? Thanks!

You can set it up to bid whenever you like.

Default is approximately 6 seconds. You can change it, but the lower you go, the more likely something misfires along the way.
