With the season basically over, how would you rate your team's season?

As a Yankee fan, there's an unrealistic "win the ws or its a bust" mentality.

But considering everyone being hurt, the lineup looking like a 2004 all star game, our ace pitching like a #5 and absolutely no offense at three positions, I'm actually impressed with how the season turned out.

Though I am not a Yankee fan - I agree. They were told how bad they were going to be, and I didn't see them as really that bad. They had a lot of pitfalls along the way that would have made many other teams look much worse.

As a Red Sox and Astros fan, I had both a good year and a bad year. :)

The Blue Jays game last night was a pretty good representation of their season.

Colby Rasmus got hurt while taking his position in the outfield when Anthony Gose threw him a ball to play warm-up catch with Rajai Davis. Colby wasn't looking and got beaned in the face. Had to leave the game.

J.P. Arencibia struck out three times with RISP.

Starter Esmil Rogers didn't make it out of the third inning.

To top it all off, their loss last night clinched the division for John Farrell in his "dream job."

Oh well. Just you wait until next year. :o

The Giants are an epic team.

Epic rise and march to October history in 2012, epic collapse and crawl to October vacations in 2013.

I grew up in Phoenix long before there was a team so due to Vin Scully coming through on AM radio I grew up a Dodger fan. I was close to packing it up this year when the team was just unwatchable through May and early June. But boy am I glad I stuck around. No matter what happens from here on out, this year is a success just because of the climb out of the cellar.

Padre fan since 1969. I actually think they could contend next year.

This year, however... :-(

There were a bunch of solid performances from young players, but they were only noticeable because the Brewers were so bad, it didn't matter who they threw out there and what the outcome was. There were some good outcomes, notably Carlos Gomez becoming an elite outfielder, Jean Segura making the Zack Greinke trade seem lopsided, and guys like Scooter Gennett, Khris Davis, Tyler Thornburg, and Jim Henderson may have proved that they are closer to above average than below average on the average scale that they occupy.

But the season was a catastrophe from May on, and then the Braun fiasco put the nail in the coffin for the season.

One more positive seems to be that the Kyle Loshe signing doesn't look like sunk money this year at least.

Ross and Cashner look really good. Venable and Gyorko have been fun to watch. If Kennedy can regain his old form and Luebke healthy again the future looks good.

I give the Rangers a B- possibly a C if they fail to make the wildcard.

Considering what they in lost talent and production from the last 3 seasons they have had a very good season with the veterans they picked up. Sucks Cruz went down in the PED scandal as I think they miss his bat more than anything. David Murphy regressed unfortunately and others are not putting up huge numbers but are doing enough to win 80+ games.
The Garza deal has not worked out as planned and they had to give up a lot of talent. I think he still can save face if he pitches well in the playoffs.
Profar as done ok but no where near #1 prospect expectations. Just hope he isn't traded next.

my A's are looking pretty strong right now, pitching still solid as usual and our bats are heating up again just in time for a playoff run

As a fan of the 2013 NL Central Champion Reds, yes they will come back and win the division, I'm pleased.
