So I decided to take the time and find out the phone number to call TOPPS CONSUMER 1-800 number about a thread I started a few days ago.
I suggested that consumers are concerned with the purchase of their high end patch cards because of the "bootlegging" going on.
They said that they really don't care about secondary markets and that if we had concerns about the legitmacy of a patch to just not buy it. I told them that they should be concerned with secondary markets because that is what fuels the primary markets.
I told them they should stamp the cards with multi-color patches as prime or some way to distinguish a $100 patch from a $10 patch. I said boot-leggers would be less likely to modify a $100 patch into a $200 patch than a $10 patch.
The representative seemed disinterested and just repeated his response that he was informed to tell individuals that call about their concern that they do not concern themselves with secondary markets and if we are concerned, to just not buy the cards.
They said I could email them at [email protected]
Can anyone that cares about the purchase of patches please take the effort to email them or let them know we will consider boycotting their patches, if they cannot somehow stamp "PRIME" or do something to distingusih their premium patches from their fluff.
