So, I Got To Open Some 2009 Bowman Draft Picks

Got about 10 free packs at the event last night.

Didnt pull anything great, got a stafford and freeman parallel rc's, crabtree, moreno and a Beanie Wells I got signed.

I put everything but the Beanie up on the bay, think maybe someone will pay a little more a week before release.

Some kid there pulled a Sanchez manupatch auto /25, think of what he could get for that right now. Im guessing he is going to keep it.

Nice scoop and pics on getting the cards early Gellman. Didn't know you were based in LA area. So was there a long line at the Wells signing? You should ask him (or any of the bigger names at rookie shoot) how many jerseys he tried on this week that will get passed of as event used then game used for the next 10 years.

The line was maybe 30 people. I could have gotten a bag full of stuff signed if I needed.

As for the jerseys, im putting the over under at 1500 for the weekend.

Were you able to look at the pack odds? If so were the autos grouped? Group A, Group B, etc.

Reason I ask is I think that will be the difference between this product succeeding or following the progression, topps dpp, etc. If there is an equal chance to pull anyone of the 80 players than Bowman Draft football could be big!

What were you hearing on player's doing lots of inscription type cards. I love those kind of cards by the way, I know your not a fan of them.

I actually like inscriptions, you must have misread what I said. I just dont like when good things are overused, as they ALWAYS are. This years should be great with Sanchez's many inscriptions like "El Matador" and "Viva Jets!" as well as Stafford's that they had him do. Harvin signing "See You Next Year Tebow" is stupid and lame, but I think that will be the exception rather than the rule.

In Ultimate this year, Gregg Kohn said they were doing something similar to UD USA Baseball where they would ask a question on the card and have the players respond with their signature.

As for the premiere, NFL Players Inc, acting on some influence from people who really dont like me, banned me from the premises.
