I came accross an ad in a local newspaper for an Estate Auction about 30 miles from where I live. The ad listed a ton of starting lineups and sporting goods, as well as the last line in the ad, "Lots of cases of cards". I had nothing to do so I thought what the hell I will go check it out. It looked like a mid 90's card shop exploded at this place. I have never seen so much 1988-1994 Fleer and Donruss and 1990-1995 Upperdeck unopened boxes and sets. They were selling boxes of cards by the cardboard box full. There were also late 90's retail football in there as well. I found 2 cardboard boxes that caught my attention. Sorry in advance for the large scans. Here is what I ended up with:

paid $40 for the 1st box and it had the following:

1993

paid $105 for box number 2 and it had the following:

paid $15 for box #3 :

There was a box that had several card albums and I could only see what appeared to be a possible 1992 Bowman set in sleeves. It is a set that I have wanted to complete for 15 years, but just never got around to it. For $15 I thought it would be worth the shot.

The box had not 1 high grade complete 1992 Bowman sets in binders, but there were 5 of them. As well as a set of 1992 Studio, 1993 Opee-Chee, multiple 1994 Denny's hologram sets, 2 binders of multi sport inserts from the 90's, an album of 1986 Garbage pail kids stickers and a sealed box of 1994 Topps Finest series 2.

Overall I think I did well for $160. I shouldn't have any problem making my money back.

Are you kidding? You probably have a couple Gs in boxes and sets there. The 1993 SP alone will triple your money.

I will be honest, I didn't even notice the 1993 SP until I got home and started taking pictures. I bought the lot it was in just for the 1992 Bowman Jumbo boxes. I checked ebay and there looks like there are only 4 boxes of SP listed w/ 1 at $430 with 11 hours to go.

Let me know if you'd be interested on moving some of the 2001 Heritage. I love that stuff.

I'm in a good mood. I'll tell what what I'll do, I let you make your money back on Box 1 and buy just the 1993 SP box for $40.00

Curious, where was the auction? A lot of that looks like a collection I looked at recently.
