Great discussion going here, a couple of things to remember is that this didn't happen at the ballpark, or even terribly near the ballpark, 6 city blocks away. It took place an hour an a half after the game, after two groups of individuals had been drinking. One of the groups left the game early while the other group never even attended the game. The most recent reports have the fight starting over the two groups yelling about how the Giants/Dodgers suck. Not to derail the idea that all Californians and Giants/Dodgers fans are violent hateful people, but this happened at 11:30 at night, in not the greatest part of town, with potentially drunk individuals who engaged in two separate incidents. This doesn't sound like fan on fan violence, it sounds like a bar fight, which can take place anywhere.

So, both of your fanbases have murderers in them, good for you. These fans need to get a damn clue, do you really love your team that much to kill someone over some words? I am not sure I will ever go to another sporting event in California. I went to a 49ers v Raiders preseason game last year. Never happening again. 2 people were shot outside the stadium, fights in the bathroom both times I went. PASSSSSSSSS

I go to Raiders game all the time. 49ers games sometimes. I'd much rather go to a Giants or A's game. NFL games are just a license to get as stupidly drunk as possible!

Honestly, there are just a lot of punks out there. If you're drunk (and stupid) enough to start a confrontation, the world is a dangerous place. Most Dodgers fans that I know would have just left and not have gotten into confrontations. Most of the time, it's just verbal sparring which you have to expect. Unfortunately, there are those who take it too far and also go too far.

Yeah good for us, leave it to you to say something stupid like that.

And your posts in this thread have been intelligent? You come off as a finger pointing homer. This whole thing is a shame, and all that some "fans" in this thread can do is point at each other's teams, fans, ownership about what they have/haven't done. Really? Get back to reality bro.

**Note, 99+% of all fans are goodhearted people, and this goes for all of the teams in question again. I have been to ALL of the stadiums in California, along with the 49ers. As I stated, I will never go back to a game at the 49ers stadium. It was truly an uncomfortable place to watch a game, and I have never seen so many outbreaks of fighting, along with a shooting at the damn stadium. PASS.
