So, MLB is pruposely shunning Ryan Braun, right?

Yeah vote for a guy who cannot even stay on the field because his drug ladened hammies can't take it, what a wimp. Now it looks like Brauny is getting shunned even more with MELKY CABRERA passing him up, are you FN serious.

Kemp dated Rihanna for almost a year, I'm sure he's just dealing with horrible STD flareups. They don't make penicillin strong enough to kill those bugs!

Why are people so down on Melky? He leads the majors in hits, second in BA, 3rd in runs scored, tied for 1st in triples and 7th in OBP. All that on a Giants team that ranks 23rd in runs scored.

It pains me to agree with A Giants fan ;), but Ron is right. Anyone ripping on Cabrera simply hasn't been paying attention. Melky easily deserves a berth.

I see the point you're making, and somewhat agree. Can you imagine if ARod had Braun's personality and likability? Coming clean is a good thing for sure, but ARod just isn't a likable player like Braun is. If Braun came clean (and I 100% believe he used, chain-of-custody screwup or not), he could re-establish his reputation quickly. All but the most hardcore haters would embrace him.

Did you really call Braun a likeable player? His arrogance and style of play make him one of the most hated players in the league in my book.

Wait, aren't all athletes arrogant? ;)

I based my statement on an interview I listened to on ESPN Radio a month or so before the positive test. IMO he's not that well known nationally, especially before winning the MVP and coming up dirty. In that interview I found his speaking style and candid answers refreshing - we all know that these days athletes give mostly canned/safe answers. Braun came off as engaging and articulate, and willing to share real stuff.

False argument.
PEDs don't necessarily make you hit the ball farther.
They will help you recover faster over the grind of 162 games.
A pitcher like Pettite used HGH for recovery, not velocity.
Let's look at his numbers over the final 2 mos of the season this year and compare to last year before we can ignore the what the cheater did.

1. If you add 20-30 pounds of muscle to your body you most certainly are going to hit the ball farther.
2. Steroids can add 5 to 10 mph to your fastball. Kind of funny how guys who throw mid 90's and up are a dime a dozen nowadays.
They do also help you recover much quicker which helps with the grind of the season.

Y'all realize that mlb testing is a sham right? Y'all realize that you can be on a cycle and not get fail the test right? That you need to have a 4 to 1 testosterone to epitestosterone ratio before they flag the sample. That most human beings tostosterone to epitestosterone ratios are 1 to 1. MLB testing is almost as big a joke as the NFL testing where they allow a 6 to 1 ratio. You have to be incredibly dumb to fail that test. You dont even have to be taking designer steroids. You can take the traditional ones and not get flagged.

While watching Sabathia pitch the other night, I heard the commentators talking about Melky. They sure wish he was a Yankee right now...

There is a percentage of the fan base who are female, and the ladies love him... Maybe, that's actually just a theory of mine and not based on any research or facts or silly crap like that. :D
