Was thinking about picking up some RC RBs for the heck of it and came across this;

$%28KGrHqJ,%21g4E45mgZjy4BO,%21q3EVnw%7E%7E60_3.JPG

That should be illegal to have /2175. Needless to say, the card sold on eBay for $3.00. bustingpacks.com just did a nice piece on how the Auto (on-card) was losing it's luster. Don't get me wrong, I love that I could buy this for so cheap... but for being considered a box hit, that's painful.

The term "hits" became a misnomer when Panini started filling boxes with multiple $1 jersey swatches. Topps is just taking autographs down the same road.

I don't get why some people are down on the high serial run. I like it. Now there's a confirmed amount of autos in the run rather than the same exact amount, but no way of knowing total production. 2,175 of those cards would have been made and inserted regardless of if there was a serial number on them or not.

Its probably because there is not much perceived exclusivity when you are talking about a card with 2,175 copies in existence. They might as well not have numbered them. Now, a card numbered between /10 or even /199 feels somewhat rare to own.

Pretty good point dude.
