I could never understand why people bitch about this. Isn't card collecting a hobby? If you don't like the card, there are 49 others out there. Plus, you can always remove the autograph if you don't like it. However, I do have a problem with people selling signed stuff when the athlete signs the item for free.

Nothing at all wrong with selling autographs people get for free, I get IP autos and keep most of them but when the time is right you gotta sell. Glad I sold my Strasburg IP autos I got free from him in college

I guess you have a point. I'm sure I'll be guilty of doing it someday as well. I wish I would have been smart enough to know who strasburg was back then. I lived in sd and had a car his last two years at sdsu.

Yeah I use to have the same viewpoint on selling IP autos too until i realized I had to sell some of my doubles to pay for the costs of the baseballs, photos and cards. Oh no you should have hit him up, he was hit or miss for autos even in college though I've heard he has gotten really hard to get now

It hurts the value of it, but still the idea of having a gold refractor signed is sick!

They make Gold Refractors with Autos...why try to make your own? LOL

I think a combo of nail polish and a white eraser should remove most of the ink, though there might be some residue left.

Obviously just having the card signed is a big ::facepalm::, but Hellickson's autograph doesn't look the best either, so the card looks like a real eyesore.
What color of Nail polish would you go with?
