I know there have been a million posts on this but, this is absolutely rediculous. These redemptions are about a year old and all we have gotten is a tracking number with no status for the last month. They get WBC jersey's and put all the nice patches in TTT and screw all the people that bought Bowman Sterling.

I wish we could all file a class action suit against these card companies...they all suck

When will we all learn and just not buy any of their product for a year? Maybe that way they would improve their products for the following year.

Sorry just a rant since I have 3 of the WBC redemptions.

I just got off the phone with the CS guys (after it rang for 4 minutes straight) and he said that the cards were sent out the begining of Oct and takes about 6 weeks. I assume sent out means to the fulfillment house. Thank goodness I only have 1 I traded for, but like in all my posts, I'm not holding my breath for a "patch".

I expect them to be legit patch cards from what I have heard.

I just don't expect the patch to be very big. I would guess that it's a patch version of the 2008 bowman sterling vet jerseys

Obviously there have been plenty of these posts at this point, and I am just curious.

In your opinion, is it Topps or the collectors fault for hyping these as much as they were
to drive them to the prices realized for the redemptions, and the disappointment that seems
to be forthcoming?

Guys, redemptions are just that - REDEMPTIONS. And these are the worst kind- BLIND REDEMPTIONS.

If you buy them or pull them and choose to send them in, do it AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I stayed a mile away from these, you knew these were going to take a year to make.

But most people were still doing it for one reason- CASH and PROFIT. You invested a certain amount of money into a blind product, be prepared to reap the benenfits or be seriously pissed off. No one put a gun to your head and forced you to redeem these- you were taking a chance at the big bucks, and putting your money on hold for a year to do so.

I hope those who sent these in do well, but I can't say I have much sympathy for you if you are greatly disappointed.

Redemptions- "they were who we thought they were..."

Well, topps didn't drive the price on the redemption cards up. The secondary market did that. All of that was speculation and it isn't topps job to live up to that hype that was placed on these cards.

However, I can think of no excuse that would cause them to have taken this long.

It's Topps fault they cant honor their 12-14 week redemption policy and are slow at delivering their product...not the collectors fault for wanting their cards after waiting over a year

Really, the thing that is bugging me the most with Topps right at this second is that I redeemed 4 Jesus Montero BDP auto's - 2 in July and 2 in August. I received 1 so far - one of the ones from August. And that was a good month ago. Where are the rest? This redemption shipping company they use sucks.

The WBC was barely 12 weeks after these cards came in packs, expecting it that fast is insane.

It premature to say that these patches won't be nice or all the nice patches were put in TTT. The Triple Threads are 3 patches per card numbered to 9 plus the 1/1, so 28 nickel sized patches per player. Plus 2 more if they had a WBC logo 1/1 produced. That leaves ALOT of patch on the jersey. The WBC logos used for the Triple Threads 1/1's were the small ones on the back neck of the jerseys. Some of the teams also had a large sleeve WBC logo, along with the advertising logos, etc. Even with a 22 card checklist giving a 90 per print run, although ruling out jumbo patches, there will still be some nice colorful patches - unless Topps just throws them out because their sole intention is to screw their customers.

As brouthercard hit on with the profit angle, all is not lost even w/ a single small patch of some of these player's (most notably the 5 Japan players and I'd imagine a few complete sets would do well). If you haven't looked at the ending price of some of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/09-Triple-Threads-N ... 3a54485dab

3 dull patches:

Surely this person made a mistake accepting this (check the next one):

http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-Triple-Threads ... 255702b4ac

http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-Triple-Threads ... 2556f555ad

I just think they will be nice cards that you can even make some money on, just not $100's per.

The Sterling patches will probably be from warm up jersey's...Would imagine they kept the game jersey for TTT being a higer end product....
