I cant believe that UFC wont pay him what he is worth.

Dana and the Fertittas have got to be the slimiest businessmen I might have ever heard of.

"Well we're not gonna pay him 1.5m to sign with us because we signed Brock for only 800,000 a fight!!"

Its sad to know that their arrogance will keep him out of the company for another few years :(

After Fedor beats Barnett and the winner of mir/lesnar is determined. Then i think Affliction and UFC should do a PayPer View with against eachother.Like 8-10 matches within thier weight classes.

You won't see Fedor in the UFC. He has nothing to gain there. Nothing.

He will get paid whatever he wants in either Affliction or in Japan where there is plenty for top competition. (Josh, Overeem, Sergey, etc.) Everyone already knows that he is the best out there and if you've heard his interviews, Fedor doesn't seem the type of man who desires more fame.

Unless the UFC meets all of Fedor's demands he will not go there. For example, Fedor wants exclusive rights to his own footage, freedom to fight in Sambo tournaments, etc.

He doesn't want to be low balled and held prisoner to an NFL style 'we can cut you whenever we want with no recourse' style contract.

You hear all of the time fighters who leave UFC say they will not ever fight for them again because of the ******** 'slave' contracts that they have there.

I would personally like to see Fedor fight in the UFC just to shut stupid motherfuckers up who say he isn't the greatest because he has never fought in the UFC.

He will have beaten his sixth UFC Heavyweight Champion after Barnett. Seventh if he ever fights Couture. A few of those guys twice. If people can't see he's great by that alone, then they are just morons period.

This has to catch up with the UFC at some point. If Affliction becomes a permanent competitor to UFC this very issue will be the reason. Eventually, guys will tell others to not join the UFC and go with Affliction from the start.

Am I wrong or arent Barnett and Cotoure friends with Fedor? Thought that the idea of these fights going down were a thing of the past?

or am I mistaken?

That is true. Josh and Fedor are friends, but both have said that they will fight. I think it will happen. Josh declined the fight with Fedor in the past because he didn't have enough time to heal up for it.

Randy didn't fight because the UFC stopped him.

I thought Josh said he wasnt interested because they were/are friends. I think I remember seeing photos of randy/fedor hanging out...

I've seen a ton of pictures with Fedor and Randy training together and hanging out. Not so many with Barnett. Not that there aren't any out there, but I didn't really notice him in as many as ones with Fedor.

I don't give a **** about friendship in MMA. If there is the possibility for a great fight, it shouldn't matter if you are friends. In most cases fighters realize that friendship shouldn't come first.

If we ever see Fedor in the UFC I don't think it will be while he's still the most dominant in the world. Affliction is never going to survive long term solely because Jerry Millen cant stfu.

UFC has no reason to meet Fedor's demands, and Fedor has no reason to join the UFC.

It just doesn't make sense for either party.

In regards to Barnett, will he actually count as a "former UFC champion" considering he was stripped of the title shortly after beating Couture?

Fedor is without a doubt the toughest beast out there, but his legacy won't involve the UFC.
