So who do you have in the Tigers vs. Giants World Series?

I'm worried about the long lay off. Every team that's swept a LCS has lost, and lost bad. The only hope is that the hottest part of the Tigers right now is the pitching and they are more used to sitting anyway.

I also don't like how they are massive favorites in Vegas. That's been a bad side to be on the last 6 years since the Tigers were big favorites the last time.

It sounds like they're taking a different approach this year, playing real games against their minor league players, getting all their pitchers bullpen sessions, and getting plenty of batting practice without taking much of a break. From the sound of it, last year was a lot more casual and they got way too much time to rest and relax rather than focusing on the upcoming series. When you sweep and the other series goes to seven, there's not much else you can do to stay engaged. It's always going to be tough, but I think they'll be ready.

If Verlander comes out sharp in game 1, he's going to set the tone for the rest of the team and the rest of the series.
