i'd like thatstarwarsfan2003 said:Nick Markakis will make it to the HOF on 3000 hits and lifetime .300+ avg. Won't be a first ballot winner, but could get the nod during a slow year
Besides Pujols folks, it's way too early to tell.

Oh i thought they were randomly inserted into packs.Mudcatsfan said:darocker80 said:What about Ken Griffey JRs 89 UD Autos or Derek Jeter's Bowman Best Autos? (First autos?)
Griffey's was a buy back, So i don't think that's really fair in this discussion, otherwise every single card auto'd after the fact is elligible.
With Jeter, 97 Bowman and 97 bowman's best, and a good 4 years after his rookie. If you want to talk Jeter's first autos, i'd talk about them, but the bowman's came out after he was already a household name.
Good point about Ichiro, he will be an interesting case.

smapdi said:Yeah, he did sign copies of one of his cards in 1994 UD. I guess if you consider that an RC then sure.
Actually Derek Jeter has 1992 Little Sun High School autos, so if you count those then he's the earliest and probably the first.

Pujols makes sense for Chrome as he has already logged 8 full seasons, far more than anyone else who has a chance. While he's still young (barring conspiracy theories) he's way closer than guys like Wright or Hanley.UMich92 said:Pujols is almost a shoe in for the 1st HOFer with BC auto. I would go with Miggy as being the first with a Topps Traded auto.

For Traded though, Miggy is first going to be 26 next season, meaning he could be around for a really long time. For me the most likely player is Alfonso Soriano who will be 33 next season. With close to 300 career homers and SB's and coming off a shortened but highly productive season, I think he has a decent shot at the Hall, and would likely be the first one retiring who has a shot.
Mind if I ask why? Not saying he is there yet (or will ever be) but he's been pretty impressive:Pete14Rose said:Topnotchsy said:Pujols makes sense for Chrome as he has already logged 8 full seasons, far more than anyone else who has a chance. IMO..Soriano has 0% shot at the hall.
