And to answer your question, I'm pretty sure I've seen MODS shut down threads if the cards weren't available.

Interesting that it went from the OP becoming defensive, taking a very aggressive stance - note the "incoming" in caps during the initial reply. To that he didn't know this is allowed.
I'm glad Russ got here to police up this situation
While I don't think the OP is trying to necessarily scam anyone here, I do find this to be a red flag based on his response and how he initially handled the situation.
