bradley has good game today.

2b, hr, 3 rbi :)

Maybe the Mariners are going to turn it around. I am rooting for the guy. He was nice enough to sign for me in spring training even though I made a rookie mistake and gave him a brand new pen that wouldn't start on the first try. He was nice enough to start his autograph again, and it looks nice and clean. :)

yeah, I think they can turn it around.. getting back both Lee and Bedard in may is going to really, really, help. if they can only stay a few under 500 until then I think we will have good playoff chances, as no team in the AL west is going to win a lot. I think it also helps that Oakland is the team that has the best start in the division because I dont see them finishing with a winning record this year

I was helping my Dad go thru his older stuff yesterday. I was excited when I found some 2001 Sweet Spot all bunched together. It had a small pile of memoriabilia cards on top of an auto. As my curiousity peaked, I pulled out the auto and...

::facepalm::

And BTW, Silva has pitched great so far and Bradley still sucks.

Thanks for the supporting words to try and ease the pain...

BTW, he found some cool stuff you would dig. A couple early 00s autos of Chavez and Mulder and a bunch of GU from the same time. The 04 LC Mulder patch we found was particularly sweeeeet.

To keep this post on topic, I'll throw in MB's latest episode:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/m ... _left.html

And the Cubs' execs and fans are just laughing...

Playing ball is at least 50% mental. It's obvious that Milton Bradley has a hard time mentally with the game. I would suggest he see a sports shrink and figure out if he should even be playing baseball.

Racism in Chicago, one of the most segregated cities in the US, I never would've guessed lol

I don't know what Milton Bradley expected. Of course, he was gonna receive a bunch of racist mail. If Hank Aaron could receive racist messages for doing something great, surely he could expect the same for sucking.

I have gathered from this article and Bradley's previous experience that he will never gain the mental capacity to successfully put 2 All-Star years together. What is the pinnacle of shame, is that he has the utmost talent - hitting wise - that I have seen in the past decade.

His attitude has completely ruined his career. Period.

yep. 1.Wak is one of the chillest coaches in the league. 2.Seattle is a pretty darn tolerant area. 3.nobody else on this team can hit, so youd think he would just calm down.

they went with Langerhans today. as of right now, its looks like were back to where the Ms were last year- 4 9-hole hitters packed into 1 lineup.

Bradley looks bad here, he looks done. sure a switch could flip on in his head and he could hit the ball like crazy but I dont think it will happen.

Last outing: 5 IP, 8 H, 3 BB, 5 ER, 3 HR(!), 96 pitches

Not so "great". Look a little closer and you'll find he started his M's career similarly in his first few starts before imploding.

A turd doesn't change into 2009 Grienke in an offseason. We'll see how long it takes the Cubs to flush this turd down.

I'll keep checking in with you on how "great" he's pitching.

I'm going to say that I'm glad that Milton is asking for help. The first step in solving a problem is admitting that you need help.

I was thinking about it more and came up with the same thing. before it was always a "you vs. me" attitude, so for him to ask for help shows 1.he can admit somethings wrong. 2.he trusts those around him.

I agree with the last two posts.

Even though I will still rip him for his past "run-ins", I will root for him to fix whatever is causing these "personal issues".

He's had 12 seasons to "fix" whatever.

This is all team spin, pure and simple.

God, you Cubs fans are truly pathetic. Still ripping on Milton and trying to bring him down. Get over him and yourself and worry more about why the Cubs haven't done anything in 100+ years. Maybe this is why. Also, enjoy Carlos Silva because it's only a matter of time until he reverts back to the mean. What did Milton really do to you guys that was so terrible

I love that fans of so many other teams constantly feel the need to talk **** about the Cubs.

This is all team spin, pure and simple.

It's a "team spin" when he's finally got an organization, including players, managers and upper-management who are willing to SUPPORT him and help him, instead of just throw him out on his ass when things go bad?? As well as fans who are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I mean really, a "team spin"?? Jack Z. just threw Eric Byrnes out on his ass cause he couldn't produce. It's widely known that he'd do the same with Bradley if he started acting up, and they'd eat the money on his contract, but this team realizes the support-system around him and is WILLING to help him.

Everyone knows Bradley has issues, but I'd like to hear about one team in the past that has been willing to HELP him with it...

I guess at the end of the day, this is the difference between Cubs and M's fans. Cubs fans ripped him from Day 1 and continued to do so until the last day. M's fans (for the most part) embraced him when he came him, understanding that this ORGANIZATION may be able to help him turn around, and if it doesn't, then so be it. BUT, we're willing to TRY and give him the benefit of the doubt.
