Amazing that you got it that far. Looks sweet. So the super has still never been pulled or maybe been pulled but person has kept it. Or sold it privately. Maybe W has it.

It's currently in the hands of a now-15 year old young man in Abilene Texas, who pulled it from a pack at his local card shop three years ago.

The card is currently tacked to his bulletin board in his room where he can admire it from time to time, because "it looks cool".

That's as good an explanation as any other.

Sadly, that could very well be true.

Darn PPP's (pre-pubescent prospectors)!!!

You gotta figure that on all the boards on the entire internet, someone knows someone who knows something about it's whereabouts. I personally believe that it has been pulled, was sold to someone else privately for too cheap of a price, and the current owner just wants to keep hush hush on it, and doesn't plan on selling it at any time this half of the century.

Someone who lurks on these boards or may be active likely knows, but is just keeping quiet about it due to the owner's wishes........and the mystery continues....

As has been hashed over before, I'm sure there are plenty of people sitting on cases of this.

I'm sure there are plenty of supers and other 1/1s sitting in boxes all over the country/world. This one gets discussed because of the player.

Bad scans? ;)

There's no way i'm scanning those out of their 3 inch thick plexiglass titanium enforced holders.

Here's what they would look like outside their holders:

unfortunately, strikingly similar to over-produced golf tournament used cards.

With the price of Longos these days, who can afford a good scanner?

I can tell you that at least 80% of the product has been cracked based on the number of orange refractors that have surfaced.

These cases are cheaper now than they were when they first came out- why in the world would anyone want to sit on these any longer?

Yeah, the more you think about it I'd say odds are it is still sitting in a pack somewhere.

70% still sitting in pack.
25% was pulled but kept private by owner.
5% pulled by someone who has no idea what it is and it's sitting in box of cards on shelf.

I think though to compare what has surfaced and what has actually been pulled are two different numbers- not all cards pulled get posted on the internet, contrary to popular belief.

When I know 80% of the orange refractors have surfaced on the internet, I'm very confident that at least 90% has been pulled, but never shown online, etc.

Therefore, if they made 6000 hobby cases of 06 draft, there may very well be less than 600 cases in existence.

Most all of the auto supers have surfaced, so there's no reason to believe the Longo has not been pulled yet - I guess it kind of goes with the concept of life in the universe besides humans on earth.

You're assuming perfect colation when guessing that it's been pulled.

If there is 1 sealed case left, then that is enough for it to still be un-pulled, let alone 100s of cases.

There are dozens of Dawson cards I've never seen from 2005 and earlier, and I'm sure some of them are still in boxes/cases somewhere.

All it takes is one pack unopened to have it inside. That's all. Even if the odds are astronomic against it, that fact will remain until it surfaces.
