SPAM from FCB user??????

Check my spam file and see a BS email. My eyes catch a quick look at the other emails it was sent too. I recognize 200lb and others emails....What gives??????

Doesnt seem like anything that would come from the site and i didnt get it.

I have never emailed 200lb direct (only PM's) so there would be no way to have his email.
I have never emailed yankfan (or even PM) as well.
Someone has our emails.....

There are more ways to sniff out the occasional email than lifting a user list.

its more than likely that someone's fb account got hacked, and a spam email was sent to every email in that person's friend list...happens daily

I was getting tons of spam from a member not long ago. i forget who it was, but it was because he got FB hacked.

Also your email isn't exactly confidential. I count at least 3 links on google that mention your email address.

In all likelihood if you notice other peoples email addresses it is thanks to this guy who proudly announces your email address to spammers around the world.



On my workstation I can write and run a spider that crawls a 100 pages a second looking for emails. Give me a moderately sized server and I can do 10,000. Give me a real good server and I can do 100,000. If your information is out there, spammers will find it.

My netscape email got hacked a while back and im pretty sure pharis mentioned odd emails from my old address.
can't get my email back so I migrated to gmail. Email hacks happen all the time.
