Once upon a time I came across a huge stack (about 35-40 magazines) of Sports Illustrated for Kids with the 9 card pages intact. The girl at the St. Vincent DePaul was a little jaded, and rather than go look for a price she said $3.00 for the lot... I said yes.

When I got home, I realized these were mid-late 90's issues. One of the magazines was the 2nd Tiger Woods issue, which I will obviously sell intact.

The other mags, I took some of the 9 card pages out, and then I realized it would be best to keep the magazines intact until I decided what to do with them.

A few years ago I came across about 100 more cards that had been broken into singles too...

Now that I am considering divesting myself of them, I would appreciate anyones insight as how to best do it... by singles, single cards grouped into the same sport, intact sheets or whole magazine. Either way, the description will have each cards name, number and sport. (I am thinking that cards sold individually would be less desirable for grading because of the perforations. Thoughts?)

If you are familiar with SIFK's, there are a lot of unusual sports represented, and I am sure there are cards of people that have had, or never will again have other cards and that could drive up prices of sheets- has anyone ever seen this happen?

Clearly I cannot lose any money other than listing fees... but if anyone has ever dealt with these cards is it a big time sink, or worthwhile to list individually? Do player collectors seek these out?

Any opinions and suggestions are highly appreciated!

Randy...I would probably sell the cards broken up.

I would sell the "stars" as individuals and then bulk lots for the remaining - in lots by sport if possible. Player collectors would probably be better bidders if it was just their player's card.

A Tiger Woods BGS 9 from December 1999 recently sold for around $80 (I believe this was his 2nd card, might have been his 3rd.) Not sure any others really get much other than Tiger.

I'd imagine most of the cards can be found individually with a little patience. That said, I'd be interested in any of the uncut sheets that feature Andruw...I know he has a couple from the 90's.

I would agree to a point... the lesser known cards (water polo, etc.) may never get listed because the listing fees would potentially cost more than the final price, theoretically...
