I have some cards listed there. While I dont list them at 2-3x their value, I sometimes do list rare ones a bit higher than you might get on ebay. I think most list their cards for 3x sell value because they either go by BV or since there's no fees until sold, why not try. Buyers are allowed to counter with a offer as well. But I know what you mean. I've seen cards that are normal $5 cards,BV $20 or so and listed for $30. They'll die with the card.

I think one of the main reasons why the cards on sportsbuy are like 3x market value is because a lot of those cards pop up on the MLB.com site, and google, when you search through their card inventory. I'm just assuming that's the reason why, as sellers are probably hoping to catch some newbies looking for cards.

I routinely check sportsbuy, just in case a rare parallel of my player gets listed there buy any chance. I found my 2003 T205 Markakis 1/1 on there, so you do happen to find some rare stuff there if your lucky.
