Spring Training 2013...what a blast

Just saw three Phillies spring games with the Tigers, Yankees, and Pirates. After the Pirates game where I got to spend some time with Jeff (Bob Loblaw) I went to Cole's Cookout. Got autos from Darin Ruf, Dom Brown, and Ryne Sandberg. Could have had Cole's as well but chose not to wait in line because they said he would make his way around and sign for everyone...didn't happen. Oh well. Great time anyway. Tons of players were there. Cliff Lee, John Mayberry Jr, Kevin Fransden, Delmon Young, Dom Brown, Darin Ruf, Jermaine Mitchell, Kyle Kendrick, several others I didn't recognize and supposedly Utley made a quick appearance but I didn't see him. Dom Brown was the highlight for me. He actually took my beer and set it down so it wasn't in our picture and then handed it back to me. He was cool. Ruf was a good guy too. Nobody seemed to be paying any attention to Sandberg which to me was baffling. Great time. About to board my flight home, but this was a great trip.

It would have been great to have you and Carson at the event. I felt kinda awkward there. Most of the people there were more than willing to stalk the players down, but I tried to play it cool...except it ended up being too cool and thus only Dom Brown, Darin Ruf, and Sandberg's autos.

It was great to actually meet you in person after such a long time. After breaking a 20-year ice of going to spring training, I'm hoping I can make it down more regularly.

We were over in section 114. Looks like you were on the first base side. You scored as many Phillies autos as I did, and you did it without dropping $175 on Cole's Cookout tickets. LOL.

Yeah, I got them leaving the ballpark. I heard Sandberg signed inside the ballpark that day...I regret that I missed that.

Going to Maryville today, Brewers vs Indians.

Rusin's not a bad pitcher. He's fighting for a roster spot and so far looks good. Somewhat of a small guy I think he's only 5'9 or so
