St. Louis Cardinals Collectors Thread

Received TTM.

One cool story I have involves sitting next to Kennedy's brother at a Cardinals game a few years back. At that point, Kennedy had already been complaining about playing time and requested a trade. An usher brought a guy down to sit next to me (I had moved from the top level of the stadium to nice seats), and I noticed the guy's envelope said "Bryan Kennedy."

On a hunch, I loudly said to my dad, "Man, I sure hope Adam Kennedy gets in." The man turned to us and said, "Me too. I'm his brother."

We talked for a while... mainly about his playing days making it up to AAA. Then, to our surprise, Kennedy got in and hit a triple.

Looking back on his statistics, the game was September 25, 2008. A game featuring Brian Barton, Felipe Lopez, Troy Glaus, Jason LaRue, and Cesar Izturis all starting. Good times, good times.

Nice Barton timing.I burned a few dollars on some junk Superfractors, including the Barton.Love that '08 Bowman Chrome design.

I had the Barton for a while...thought he was going to be awesome for us. Is he still playing or has he moved on to being a rocket scientist yet?

Also, if interested in a few more "Junk Superfractors" let me know. I've got a few former Cardinals I could move

Barton is in the Reds organization now, although he didn't play well at AAA.At least he played more than Parisi did.

I'm trying to collect players that made the team, but I might be interested in Superfractors of prospects, though I don't have a lot to spend right now.Who you have other than Norrick and Vasquez?Don't you have Marmol too?How much you need for them?

I'll have to look when I get home to see for sure who I have...I know I have Norrick. Vasquez, Marmol, Nieto, Longmire, and I think a couple more. Also a Mather Sterling Red 1/1

Had the Barton for quite a while, got it back in 08 and kept it til last summer. I'm inclined to keep the Vasquez, I'm not sure on what I'd ask on the other two. I've got way too much into both, feel free to pm me an offer on them.

Just got a card and photo back from a LaRussa private signing


i had sent this card TTM 2x and both times it got smeared, i then tried a 3rd time @ spring training and the auto ran off the card. Thank goodness the 4th attempt came out perfect.

Just bought tickets for the following players for Winter Warm-Up: Jon Jay, Daniel Descalso, Jaime Garcia, Marc Rzepczynski, Kyle Lohse, Jack Clark.

Thinking about getting the following items done. Anyone have any opinions?

Jay - 2011 Topps Heritage
Descalso - 2011 Topps Heritage
Garcia - 2011 Topps Heritage
Rzepczynski - WS ball
Lohse - 8x10
Clark - 1988 Topps

I already have a Wainwright Heritage, so I figured I could start working on a Cardinals 2011 Topps Heritage project and display them together.

I got Descalso TTM this past year. You may want to get something else signed while you can and send the Heritage card to him this season.

I think i need to stop writing players names on envelopes when i TTM. I sent to Descalso twice and never got a return but a bunch of people got him back and i read an article that said he signed during ST. Also some people got Mark Buherle back and i didnt get mine. I have gotten this year yogi berra, mark mcgwire, and Josh hamilton.

At least you got Berra and McGwire. I sent to Berra on May 31 and McGwire during Spring Training.
