Did a mock up of how I want to frame this picture when its complete. Sorry for all the posts about this, just very excited to be in the process of putting it together! I have wanted to do this 2009 so this is exciting for me. Also may be picking up some small Descalso stuff this week. Nothing even worthy of posting in here.

Ok, just found out we had a far more important mailday today. Got a package from Fredbird, seriously. Fredbird's wife is a very good friend of ours and was in our wedding. Well, my wife and I had our first child back in May and Mr and Mrs Fredbird sent our little Cy a gift today. Here it is! Don't you wish players had signatures like this?

You may have to catch him when he's got some time on his hands, my guess it this is not the everyday sign...doubt he could do it in costume.

Yea. They used to make the Fredbirds learn how to sign the same I believe that way every person who got an autograph had pretty much the same thing.

Smith signed at the Busch Bash thing the other day, the ticket to the game was 6 dollars but it was Team Banner night so we will just say that the banner was 6 dollars and Ozzie was free because that sounds better :)! I just dropped it off to be taken to Musial!!! No way in hell Pujols goes in as an Angel. My jersey I have no idea what happened to it, I think I have a picture of me in it at a game though somewhere that I can possibly find lol. I have no clue it probably got given away or tossed, not many people have that jersy though. He also wore #36, he wore 6 at AAA Memphis for the short time he was there. I believe he wore 15 in college (not sure though)

What is this Busch Bash event?Ticket was only $6?Did you have to be on the field for Smith to sign it?Make sure when you have that print signed that everyone signs in the same color ink.

Gorgeous card, I have to find one of those for myself. Not sure what they went for then, but I remember back then Ankiel stuff was scorching.I went to a local show the year he stayed in the rotation all season, and almost bought a signed ball and ticket stub. That's a shame he couldn't get it together, sometimes I wonder how good he could have became.

That looks nice, although I think it would look even better if the color of the matting was reversed.Show your Descalso stuff, all Cardinals cards here are worthy of being shown.

Busch Bash is on select Friday home games, it is in Ford Plaza. You line up at a gate hours before the game and the first 200 people get a ticket to get the autograph. If there is time left over or the player wants to stay a little bit longer those without a ticket are allowed to go through until time is up. Usually the players do not get through the line ticket people before time but are required to stay and sign. Usually it is a crappy player like Steve Kline, or Jack Clark guys who sign anything you put in front of them but every so often you get a Red Schoendienst (last year) or Ozzie Smith (this year). The ticket to the game was $6 on stubhub. It is being signed in blue sharpie in the same spot on each players body down towards the legs. Musial will cost me $50 (my friends cost) through my friend with the stipulation of if I sell it he gets another $25 because he is not making money on the deal, fair enough. I asked him if he would put the Stan The Man Inc sticker on the back of the picture if he remembers because I dont want stickers on the front. As far as the matting I think I am going to stick with blue being the main color because that will be more uniform with the stuff I already have framed. Most of our stuff is on Navy blue matting only reason I am double matting is because of the size. My dad has decided to pay for all players except Pujols, which pretty much splits the cost 60/40 with me paying just a little more than him!

I have never heard of Busch Bash, sounds like a good deal.Is it an extra $6 on top of what you gave for the ticket?Sounds like you got damn lucky Smith was there that day.Did you know before he was going to be there? We went to a game a couple years ago for some promo, had Dayley and Costello sign a ticket and a card. How are you protecting that print when you take it with you?I'd be afraid someone would bump into me and damage it or someone spill a drink on it.$50 for the Musial sounds like a good deal. That would be awesome if all the players signed thier nickname along with HOF year. After Musial signs it scan it back up.How much will it be to have it matted and framed?Blue Sharpie is perfect, is it a thick or thin tipped marker?

No it i just the cost of the game ticket and everyone has the same opportunity to get it if they are in line at the right time. They do announce who is going to be there before hand. Like Tom Paggnozi and Steve Kline are doing it later this year. I have it in a toploader when I take it places. I am just having their HOF year on there. Even musial. Pujols refuses to sign HOF on anything (makes since but if he retired today he would be in the hall in his first year. It is the fine tip sharpie like the reguar ones. Not sure what the framing will cost me, I would guess around 100 or so but I am not positive. Framing may get a temporary frame to start with like just have mats cut and buy a frame from Michaels.
Also just found out I will be going to Spring Training for a week in 2013. We will be taking our Camper thing down there again staying just 7 miles away from Jupiter in Johnathan Dickson state park (Beautiful place) they said it gets filled with Cardinals fans during ST so it should be fun! We are going to where we will be able to catch some practices, the autograph party and a game or 2 while we are there. Should be fun. Early next year will be awesome for me its looking like I will be in Kansas City in January.Jupiter, Florida in February. Seattle Washington in March. So next year will be epic plus I graduate from HS in May!!!!

About time I get Superfractors on here. Not long after I snagged the Wong someone on eBay out of nowhere says he wants it.Says he was in Blue Jays or some other team's system, and played on some summer league against Wong. Also says he played at TCU and is friends with M. Carpenter, and then went to SIU, which is really close to where I grew up.Couldn't let go of card, but it was an interesting story.
