A few of those look awfully familiar.

Other than the Descalso, which ones did you have?I forgot to find the Walters I have too, but I didn't think you had that one.

Ludwick Superfractor is up if anyone wants it.

I am insanely jealous of your 2 Descalso Superfractors. Rookieaddict can tell you how long I have been after that card. Lol i used to annoy him about it like every other week. Then I started annoying SINFULONE and we are at a complete stand still currently HAHAHAHAH!!! Also not sure what day I am getting my picture thing back (musial) I think it is probably done by now but I have to get money to pay for it. My LCS guy is cool about waiting for money (he says 50 bucks isnt going to make or break him) just wont give you something until it is payed for. So I will proabbly get it next week. Then I am going to focus on putting together a Saltwater Fish Tank

I'm kind of in a pinch right now, if times get desparate you are first in line for the Descalso's.Sad thing is, I would probably rather be homeless than let go of my prized cards.Did anyone here get the other Wong Superfractor that was up last week?I wanted it, but couldn't go that much on it?Got some other cheap insert/jersey cards in this week too.I bid on a bunch of Molina rookies this week, but got outbid on all of them.

yeah I know how it is. I have actually been thinking about selling all of my printing plates to buy more of the serial numbered cards I need. I have never considered Plates to be part of a rainbow and never have I considered them true 1/1s to me they are 1/4 and if you dont have all 4 they are kind of lame. Not sure if that is something I want to do yet or not.

Got a RC for the PC, 65 Dave Ricketts...though he's probably not the important guy on this card.

Guys I hate to say it but I think it is time for the Cardinals to begin a rebuilding phase. Freese,Berkman,Garcia,Mujica,Descalso,M.Carpenter, Robinson and the entire bullpen need to go. This is just bad. I doubt they make the playoffs. They are playing like absolute garbage right now. You can not even blame it on Matheny, I believe he still deserves manager of the year, though I think it will go to Davey Johnson or whoever is managing the pirates (drawing a blank right now.) Just absolutley piss poor baseball being played right now.

You can't give up on them now... Sure, they've played three horrible games in a row. But they will still be tied for the Wild Card after tonight. Wainwright and Lohse are still awesome. Jay, Craig, and Molina have been great. Now we just need a couple hitters to pick it up a notch (*cough, Beltran, cough*) and a couple starters to give quality starts (*cough, Westbrook, Garcia, cough*). Motte has gotten the job done recently, too.

Lots of negatives now, but lots of positives as well. And after 2011, I will never lose faith until they are mathematically eliminated.

I am just wondering why Lance Lynn is coming out of the bullpen and Joe Kelly is in the starting rotation. I was under the impression that earlier in the year Lynn was one of baseballs premiere pitchers this year. Now he is coming out of the pen when down by 6 runs HAHAHA. Joe Kelly has decent stuff but it is not as good as Lynns. Also Jake Westbrook is a sinker ball pitcher who can not keep the ball down causing him to get rocked in his last 3 or 4 starts. I was really hoping they would put him on waivers and insted they signed an extension with him.

My understanding is that Lynn is out of the bullpen or the rest of the season. He's never put this many innings in before, Kelly has been serviceable; why potentially hurt Lynn's arm?

I dont know it just seems like lynn has been alright. We havent really seen a drop in velocity or anything and the cardinals have had a ton of off days. Also I think the only way to know if a guys arm is going to hold up is to let him pitch ask him how he feels. Players today are babied more than old school baseball. I dont even know that Nolan Ryan and Bob Gibson knew what a pitch count or inning limit was. Now I know that joe kelly and lance lynn are not anywhere near those guys in talent level but the whole mindset of baseball has changed and baseball today is a watered down version of what used to be americas grand game. I love baseball beyond belief but I want to see the old way of baseball. When one of your guys gets intentionally taken out at the plate and there is a retaliation that should be expected and the pitchers should not be warned after it. Let the players handle their business. The players are payed too much to do that and it is too much of a business insted of a game. Like in the movie Fever Pitch when jimmy fallon walks into the bar and 3 of the Sox are sitting together not a care in the world down 2 games in a series and the fans are all upset the players get payed and few of them have the drive of wanting to be winners. It sounds crazy and this is a long post but this is what I see happening in baseball. Players now dont hustle, the fundimentals have went out the window, power hitters swing mainly for homeruns insted of line drives and getting on. /RANT

Yeah, we really should get rid of Freese. He's cheap, hitting .298, 71rbi, 17hr? And sure while we're at it let M Carpenter go, lots of guys can spot start and hit .307 while playing good defense. Oh and the pitchers, Mujica has been horrible with his 0 earned runs and .182 batting average against! Same with Motte and Boggs success in high leverage situations, what are we thinking keeping these guys around. Seems we'd be better off with anyone else out there, right?

Look, obviously some fans are of the what have you done for me lately variety...but they are usually called Cubs or Red Sox fans. Players and teams will go through slumps. No need to blow a team up because of a rough 5 game stretch.

Freese is an average player and a defensive liability. Matt Carpenter has no where to play. We had to get rid of a first round draft pick for a 26 year old average relief pitcher to a team that was getting rid of everyone. He has not been in a pressure situation yet. I forgot about Boggs, but they do need him. Motte has been streaky at best. Also I am not saying that its time to rebuild just because of the last week. It is time to get some good young talent and in order to do that they are going to have to get rid of some players, including fan favorites. Freese is average and did not deserve to be an all star, his postseason performance will forever propel him into some Cardinals Fan superstardom.

I think I disagree with about everything you're saying. Freese is far above league average, Matt Carpenter isn't supposed to be a everyday player. Mujica is one of the most consistent relievers for the last 3 years, well above average...and face it Cox was no good, Mo pulled off a great trade to get Mujica for someone who was never going to contribute for our club.

The Outfield is incredibly sound, and has Oscar Taveras on the way if anything goes wrong. 1b is taken care of with Craig or Adams. I honestly think Wong breaks with the team next year as 2b. One more you of Furcal, and Freese at 3rd. No one is better off than us behind the plate.

Our role players are Skip, who can fill in a lot of spots; and Descalso who is a great glove anywhere on the infield, toss in a Matt Carpenter two fill any gaps and hit without consistent playing time and the backup crew is pretty strong.

Pitching you have a returning Carpenter, who may or may not perform well. You have to feel pretty good about what Wainwright, Garcia, and Lynn are going to give you. Plus, while I'd rather have extended Lohse, Westbrook has put up very good numbers and put us in a position to win. Plus Kelly has consistently given quality starts, and I believe would be really strong out of the bullpen along with developing guys like Rosenthal and Miller.

Bullpens are bullpens, always going to be issues; I could do without Salas but really have no issue with the rest of the crew.

Hi all!

I recently picked up this lot of '97 Ultra Platinum Medallion http://www.ebay.com/itm/13075140590...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_1997wt_931. I'm keeping the Ozzie for myself, but am willing to part with anything else from the set. If you're interested in any of these cards send me a PM. If you want me to scan something specific I'll be more than happy to do that too. I thought I'd give the kind people here a chance before I list them on the 'bay.

Huh?You just don't blow up the whole team after a couple of bad games. That would be absurd.
